PARALEGAL ASSOCIATIONS
International Paralegal Management Association (IPMA) - (formerly Legal Assistant Management Association - LAMA) Promotes the development, professional standing and visibility of legal assistant management professionals.
National Association of Legal Assistants- A national association for legal assistants and paralegals, providing continuing education and professional development programs.
National Federation of Paralegal Associations - An organization of state and local paralegal associations.
Georgia Association of Paralegals (GAP) - The stated purposes of this association are: (1) to enhance the role of paralegals in the legal profession; 2) to improve the working conditions of paralegals; and 3) to maintain a continuing relationship with bar associations throughout the state of Georgia.
Illinois Paralegal Association (IPA) - The purposes of the IPA are: to promote communication among members of the paralegal profession, the legal community, civic and professional organizations; to encourage and provide for the continuing education of paralegals; to inform members of developments in the paralegal profession; and to promote the paralegal profession.
Los Angeles Paralegal Association ("LAPA") - LAPA is dedicated to developing, strengthening and advancing the paralegal profession. LAPA provides networking opportunities, continuing legal educational programs and pro bono activities for paralegals and members of the legal community throughout the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.
Metrolina Paralegal Association (MPA)- Charlotte, NC - One of MPA's primary purposes is to foster continuing education. Another primary purpose of the MPA is to effectively communicate with the Metrolina paralegal community. MPA has the ongoing support of many members of the local bar and judiciary, particularly in its involvement with the education and training of paralegals. MPA is continually looking for additional opportunities to work jointly with Bar and judiciary members.
Middle Tennessee Paralegal Association (MTPA) - The Middle Tennessee Paralegal Association ("MTPA") was formed for the purposes of furthering education among members of the paralegal profession; advancing, fostering and promoting the paralegal profession; encouraging a high order of ethical and professional attainment; providing service to the community; and establishing good fellowship among members of the paralegal profession in Nashville, Tennessee and its surrounding areas.
North Carolina Paralegal Association - NCPA was formed in 1980 to fill the need for a statewide organization to provide its legal assistant/paralegal membership with a continued flow of current national information. NCPA is a self-governing organization run by paralegals for paralegals. Through its educational and informational network, NCPA strives to help its members better assist the legal community in fulfilling its duty to their clients and the public.
Smoky Mountain Paralegal Association (SMPA) - a nonprofit, NALA affiliated association of paralegals and supporters of the paralegal profession serving the East Tennessee area. SMPA is composed of paralegals working in all areas of the law, students in recognized paralegal educational programs, and supporters of the paralegal profession who are interested not only in furthering their own professional development, but are also dedicated to the advancement of the paralegal profession as a whole.
The Virginia Alliance of Paralegal Associations (VAPA) - The Virginia Alliance of Paralegal Associations, formerly: Virginia Alliance of Legal Assistant Associations (the Alliance) was formed by six associations in 1989 and is now comprised of paralegal associations and individual area liaisons located within the Commonwealth of Virginia. It represents over 1,500 paralegals/legal assistants and students across the state.

LEGAL (ATTORNEY) ASSOCIATIONS
American Bankruptcy Institute - The ABI is a multi-disciplinary, non-partisan organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency.
American Bar Association - The ABA provides law school accreditation, continuing legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and initiatives to improve the legal system for the public.
National Association of Bond Lawyers - This association focuses on educating its members regarding state and municipal bonds and other obligations.

CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ASSOCIATIONS
National Association of Corporate Directors - An educational, publishing and consulting organization in board leadership and the only membership association for boards, directors, director-candidates and board advisors.
The Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals - An association whose membership is composed principally of corporate secretaries, assistant secretaries and others involved in duties traditionally associated with the corporate secretarial function.
American Corporate Counsel Association - This association serves the professional needs of attorneys who practice in legal departments of corporations and other private sector organizations worldwide.

FINANCE/LEASING ASSOCIATIONS
American Cash Flow Association - This association connects individuals and businesses in need of improved cash flow with funding sources.
Commercial Finance Association - This is the trade group of the asset-based financial services industry, with members throughout the U.S., Canada and around the world.
Eastern Association of Equipment Lessors - Provides educational, professional and networking opportunities for the leasing industry.
Equipment Leasing & Finance Association - An association for companies involved in the equipment leasing and finance industry to the business community, government and media.
International Factoring Association - The goal of this association is to assist the Factoring community by providing information, training, purchasing power and resources for its members.
