In today’s demanding business environment, National Corporate Research, Ltd. (NCR) understands the unique needs of law librarians and can provide expedient, cost-effective solutions to your interlibrary loan needs. Our library services team can handle the entire interlibrary loan process…from locating libraries that own the books you want to borrow to arranging loans and returns.
Making your job easier:
Save time by asking NCR to open an interlibrary loan (ILL) account for you at the Library of Congress (LC) to speed up your loan requests:
NCR can open an LC ILL account for libraries meeting the LC’s requirements at no charge. Having an LC ILL account enables you to take advantage of the LC’s comprehensive collection and generous 60-day, no-fee loan policy. NCR’s staff goes to the LC on a daily basis and can save you time and money by quickly processing your loans and returns. Place your order before 2 PM EST and, in most cases, your patron will have the books the same or next day via local messenger or overnight courier. Our “behind the stacks” contacts and rapport with the LC loan office translates into efficient and reliable service for you.
Stop worrying about due dates and ILL returns/renewals:
Don’t worry about monitoring due dates – the LC and NCR will send email reminders when deadlines are approaching. At NCR, we pride ourselves on keeping detailed loan records for all ILLs, including: loan and return dates, client-matter numbers and other important information. LC books returned to our D.C. office will be returned at no charge. NCR can also facilitate ILL renewals at other libraries offering this service.
Assistance with loans from academic and specialized libraries:
NCR has loan accounts with many libraries in the D.C. metro area and nationwide. Our staff can track down the books you need…even when they are less than perfectly cited.
